What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a quote the following information is needed; date, venue and location, and how many hours coverage you are wanting. Typically, I have two packages, a half day (£700 for 5 hours) and full day (£1000 for 10 Hours) but I can tailor a package if you're wanting something bespoke.

I always recommend the full-day package which includes travel within England and Wales, approx 600 watermark free photos provided in both colour and B&W, an online password protected gallery and a photo film using stills.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First and foremost find a photographer's work you like and style. There are many different styles, mine is documentary/ reportage, I focus on capturing authentic and candid moments as they unfold naturally. But my style isn't for everyone, some prefer more of an editorial style, like something you would see in Vogue Magazine.

Second, make sure you take a consultation with them. I always have consultations with my clients before allowing them to book just so I know that we are a good fit. At the end of it all, the most important thing to me is you have a great wedding day no matter who you hire.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I initially started photographing wildlife. I'd go out with my kit and sit there watching how these animals, photographing how they acted and it was brilliant. Then a friend of mine asked if I could photograph his wedding. It's not something I had ever considered. A wedding photographer? No not me! But I loved it! I just didn't like the posed shots. They were awkward and fake in comparison to the natural smiles and laughs of those candid shots. So I started offering free weddings to try and learn on the job, always looking to improve. And now I do it full-time and I love it!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has been great! I've booked some amazing clients through the site. I've not been using it long but it is already doing its job. It provides all the information needed to make a decision on a potential client. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get more bookings. To fill the gaps during the year.
