What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

As many details as possible regarding the event and services sought. Most importantly whether is public or private, paid upfront by organisers or sales to the public (or both). Dates and times including any restrictions on setup/teardown, ie. entering or leaving the site of a public event, etc.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Requests should be in a realistic timeframe. We can't handle request 2-3 years ahead (ie. a wedding sometime in the summer of 2021. The bigger the event the better the chance to secure a supplier earlier but if it's a smallish event too far ahead suppliers will be hesitant to commit themselves in hope of a bigger booking for the same day.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I've nurtured the idea of working for myself (again) and having a go in catering/hospitality. Being a coffee lover myself it was an obvious choice to look into the mobile cafe industry. I decided to go with the Really Awesome Coffee franchise system because of the van and the equipment they build is fantastic so as the business support.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I had about a dozen bookings thru Add to Event so far and all of them were genuine request, the organisers were clear about what they wanted and I could deliver a smooth and easy experience. It's worth mentioning that we also used Add to Event as event organisers when we needed entertainers and suppliers for our own family event.
