Big Red Bus Bar offer a large, traditional 1967 London-style Routemaster red bus containing a full mobile bar service. Serving at events throughout Gloucester and beyond, Big Red Bus Bar are fully licensed and can provide an upstairs seating area, retractable roof, ample outside chairs and even colour changing LED lighting. As well as their iconic bus, they can also provide a renovated 1970 VW camper and an ice cream trike!

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the potential venue address, and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a quote with the different options we have available to the customer.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider about the products they are offering. There's a big difference between a bar serving quality, locally produced products to one serving Carling, and these differences can have a big impact on your guests' experience of the event. Secondly, ask about licensing. For a bar to be serving at your event, whether it is a large scale festival or an intimate wedding, some form of license will be necessary. Without this your event could end up shut down, so it really is a must. All of our bars come fully licensed, with us handling the whole process for you so you can focus on enjoying your event. Finally, find out what the supplier supplies and what they need. Is glassware included in the hire? Are table and chairs added as standard? Do they need electric or water to be able to run their bar? Without this information, you might be in for some surprises on the day.

Big Red Bus Bar was born out of our love for classic vehicles and quality beers. We believe that you should be able have a mobile event bar that also serves fantastic quality products, which are well kept - you don't have to settle for mass produced, flavourless fizz! We also truly believe in making your event as individual as you are, and offering true customer service to ensure that you and your guests get everything you should out of the day.
