What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a full quote to a customer, we would like to know the event date, an explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests throughout the whole day, their potential venue and it's location, will we be the sole providers for any drinks, what they had in mind for their day. From this, we can use our experience to put together our quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For us, it always works out much better for the customer if we are the sole provider so with that in mind, asking about how we can help with Drinks Packages is a good start. Additionally, what the bars look like and what drinks will be provided. If there are any additional costs, and what the Drinks Prices are will also be two great questions. Lastly, check how their equipment will fit into your venue. Check out their reviews and that their photos are their own.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Hi, I'm Byron and when I was 18 I worked in hotel management. Part of this included running the event bars for weddings, parties and corporate events and I fell in love with this side of the job from day one. Later the same year I went to my friend's engagement party in a village hall and had my first encounter with a mobile bar - the drinks were expensive the service was lousy and it was nowhere near the high standards I was used to working at.
I came away from the bar saying I can do so much better than that to which my friend replied 'why don't you?'
Challenge accepted!
Fast forward 10 years - and I still run the most highly regarded mobile bar service in the country
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
