What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
We need to know the date, the venue and estimated number of guests and how you would like Hospitality to help; mobile bar, event management, waiting staff as well as bar staff, table glass hire etc. From this we will be able to use our experience to put together a quote and what equipment we will be bringing.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly I would look at their reviews on here but on social media too. I would ask what is included so you know for sure what you need to bring if anything. I would check on their product lines to make sure you feel all your guests will be well looked after and that there is something for everyone. Be clear on the setup and break downtimes so that you are not disturbed mid-ceremony! and finally, I would try and meet with the supplier in person this is by far the best way to really understand what they can bring to your event and discuss exactly what you need. It's a service you are hiring for possibly one of your most important days so it needs to be exceptional, efficient and professional and the person leading it should be the owner of the company.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Hospitality House Ltd started as an event staffing agency but with a real focus on offering an exceptional service from a motivated and well cared for the team. It grew rapidly and then we started to get asked about running bars, hiring equipment and offering drinks. I have worked in all aspects of Hospitality over a 25+ year career both here in the UK, Europe and America. My degree is in Hospitality I have numerous training qualifications and I am a personal licence holder. The mobile bar hire evolved naturally and I am so excited it is now a fully-fledged part of what we do. I went all out and got our bars made by an amazing designer in Sheffield so they are completely unique and 1 of a kind.
We still supply small teams to DIY weddings which is how we started but we also now work with large companies and many caterers and event venues. It really is a full house for all your Hospitality needs!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Gosh, there have been many over the 3 years I have been using Add to Event. From small christening parties held in a local village hall to ornate and very lavish weddings held in private mansions, we have done them all! I would say all events no matter how big, grand or small they are are always fabulous to work at. For me personally I love weddings, I am probably in 4 figures as to how many weddings I have worked at but I never ever tire of them. I still get butterflies in the morning of the wedding when I am getting ready and getting everything packed up; to be part of someones special day is something else and a real honour.
