What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To put together a quote, we need the event date, some kind of description of the event and an estimated number of guests. Any more detailed information is always appreciated, but the quote can be adjusted as and when this is available. Dietary requirements are really helpful!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Interrogate a sample menu! You can really tell if a provider knows what they're talking about and is passionate about their offering this way. Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It all started when I was working at Bath farmers market. Seeing the quality and variety of local cheese was a bit of a ‘eureka’ moment. Somerset has one of the most vibrant and dynamic communities of cheesemakers in the world, and I knew I wanted to celebrate that! I couldn’t think of a better vehicle by which to showcase that produce than the cheese toastie. Bringing this slice of the West Country to peoples' events and big days is such a privilege.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We actually had our first ever private booking through Add to Event - it was a wedding in a barn in rural Wiltshire. It was not a big event in terms of numbers, but it so good for us a business to be chosen from a pool of caterers in that way and it was a real confidence boost. The wedding went brilliantly with all the guests (and most importantly the bride and groom) being thrilled with our food. Add to Event now regularly connects us with people searching for that slightly different and unusual booking for their event.
