What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
Firstly, we need to know where the event is being held, what type of event it is and a short description of it. We also require the number of guests and need to know whether it is indoors or outdoors. Also, what type of music do they want played and would they like a custom set list made up.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise the customer to know what they want for their event. They don’t need to know technical information, but they need to have a vision that we can help them shape. I would also advise them to ask lots of questions, as no question is a silly one.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I have always DJ’d and I studied music production at university. Then a few years ago, my wife started her own wedding confectionery business and I saw how rewarding it was, so decided to get onboard and offer an accompanying DJ service.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event supplies me with lots of work, so it’s hard to choose one to talk about in particular. However, we recently did a fundraiser for Slimming World. There was about 100 people there, and they all loved it and had such a great time. They gave me 5 stars in all categories of the review! Without Add to Event I wouldn’t have got this gig.
