What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

What do we need to know to tailor a quote for you? The most important thing is the date of your event so we can check our availability. We also need to know how many guests you're inviting, what you'd like us to provide and where your venue is.
We not only offer a range of set menus but waiting and bar staff and plate, glass and linen hire. So if you need any of these too, please let us know and we can include them in your quote.
As we're mobile caterers, we cook outside under our gazebos and need a minimum area of 4m x 4m of level ground to cater.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When hiring a caterer, there are numbers of things worth asking:
How long have you been in business? Can I see your reviews?
Where do you source your ingredients? What sets you apart from your competitors? Are you specialists in this type of cuisine?
Can I try your food before I book? What's the minimum or the maximum number of guests you cater to?
What are your T&Cs? Does the price on your quote include everything?

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We set up Vamos Paella in 2011. After years of living and travelling in Spain, we decided to bring our love of Spanish food back to the UK where we became paella caterers.
One October morning our first consignment of paelleros arrived on a pallet from Valencia and Vamos Paella was born and we haven’t looked back.
We started catering to food markets in Brighton and London and very soon started getting asked to cater for parties and weddings. Now we cater for over 100 weddings, parties and corporate events each year, cooking giant paellas fresh on-site usually only the best ingredients.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We've had a few bookings through Add to Event, but it's always the weddings that stand out and are the most memorable. We catered for a lovely wedding in Chichester Hall for 180 hungry guests, providing canapés, tapas, paellas, salads and desserts and a fully catered service.
