What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask what they are able to offer, i.e cuisine variety, staff, equipment (if the venue has no kitchen facilities), whether it incurs an extra cost.
Be mindful to understand the quality you require when setting your budget, so that you receive the best service and quality of food.
Be sure of the time frame the service will be required to avoid extra charges.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Started a food business because I, Chef D love what great food does, it feeds, brings people together and helps the event flow. Food can divide opinion but it ultimately always brings people together.

I also love taking African and Caribbean food and making it suited for everyone and change the narrative on African food to be classified as a fine dining experience that the typical British, French, Spanish, American and Oriental cuisine dominates.

Opening the eyes of many to an experience that is just as pleasant and fulfilling as other counterparts.

We love both fine dining and casual dining, the passion and ability to create both and present it to anyone and everyone is what drives D's Chef Diaries and hopefully, we'll have restaurants offering both.
