What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Ideally, to help us generate a comprehensive quote, we need as much information as possible. How many guests...location...do you want guests to pay for their own drinks...what service do you want from a bar...is in inside or outside...how do we fit in with your day? By giving us some clear idea's of how you see it working, it will help us to give you options and relevant pricing.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Have some ideas clear in your head. When planning an event, party or wedding, most people have a clear idea of how they see it working, but be open to new idea's and options. Research the types of bar you would like to see and think you would be happy with (google images is great and will give you lot's of options and styling). Any reputable company will tailor their service to you and will have some different and helpful idea's that you may not have thought of. Always check the bar prices and any hidden extras. Nail down exactly what each company are providing and responsible for and exactly what you are responsible for.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Windsor Boys Vintage Bar Co. were established in 2019. After years in hospitality and customer service businesses, and years of drinking in bars.....we thought, why not? We have attended so many functions, corporate events and weddings over the years where we thought, "we could do that bar better", so we put our money where our mouths were. We have a real passion for people, a passion for service and a passion for good times.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We are relatively new to Add to Event but have had quite a few bookings through already, but unfortunately, due to Covid, most have been postponed until later this year. We have had the opportunity to be a part of a few truly wonderful events and weddings, but none more delightful than a wedding for one of our dearest friends. It was a dream to be involved with her special day and one we were truly honoured to be a part of, both professionally and personally (but lord, those people could drink!)
