What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to give you an accurate quote, there are many factors that we need to take into consideration. Firstly, the date and the full address including the postcode can be extremely useful. The type of event i.e birthday party, christening and the time of the event. Once we have this information, we are in a better position to give you a more accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It is important to pick the entertainer wisely as your event is only going to happen once and you need to make sure the entertainment is of a high standard. Ask the entertainer a number of questions such as the length of time in business, what they might recommend, do they have a website and do they have the correct insurance. It is important that the entertainer will take control of the party leaving you with little stress and maximum time to enjoy the party also.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

It was back in the 90's after my first son was born that I decided to turn my long time hobby in to a full time profession. Since then I have never regretted a single day. I have always provided a number of services to the customers, and times have been difficult financially. I believe it's important to adapt to these situations and my customers embrace my flexibility.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a number of bookings through this platform, in fact more than any others I have tried.
One event was a birthday party for a young lady (6) at a local hotel. Since the booking, the hotel have been in touch and I now have 5 more bookings from the hotel themselves. I think Add to Event is the right platform for all types of entertainers and event planners, together with caterers and other work related people in this competitive industry.
