About Lost Shores Ceilidh Band
We play a varied selection of mainly traditional Scottish and Irish tunes and songs
We love performing our music and our performances are fully committed and great fun and our audiences always leave with smiles all around.
The band were formed in October 2016, by Michael Taylor on accordion, and brothers Finlay and Kyle O'Neill on guitar and drums/percussion respectively. Michael will also call the dancing, catering for all abilities, and has been known to carry out a demonstration if required.
Lost Shores Ceilidh Band will perform dances including all the old favourites (Gay Gordons, Canadian Barn Dance, Dashing White Sergeant, Orcadian Strip the Willow, Virginia Reel, Boston Two Step, Military Two Step, St Bernard's Waltz, Circassian Circle etc) as well as quite a few lesser known dances, and have been known to take on special requests for certain clients.
The band have also recently invested in a full set of brand new PA equipment including monitors and mixer etc, which will be used to provide the best sound possible for your venue at no extra charge. Some lighting equipment is also available.

Typical Clients
We provide a full ceilidh performance for all kinds of events. We have performed at many varied events such as charity fundraising events, local awards ceremonies, private parties (birthdays, anniversaries etc), weddings, Burns' Suppers and Scottish-themed nights.
We are also very proud to have been chosen as the house ceilidh band for the annual Outlander-themed event - actor Scott Kyle's Scottish Fling for the last few years, performing full ceilidh sets in Glenrothes' Rothes Halls and Glasgow's Hilton and Radisson Blu Hotels for international audiences.
We have performed in all sorts of venues, ranging from small village halls, to upmarket hotels, even a barefoot yoga venue!!, to the more unusual venues such as on board HMS Unicorn in Dundee, and inside Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh!
