What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide an accurate quote we need to know what the event is (public or private); if is to be fully or partially funded; where the event is taking place; the age range and any specific requests i.e. a glitter party, birthday party, wedding etc. It would also be helpful to know of any travel restrictions, for example parking or access, to allow us to factor in travel costs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a face painter, I would suggest that you check the individual style and personality of the painter to make sure they are a good fit for your event. It is also important to check they are insured and trained - especially in health and safety, and hygiene. I would suggest you choose a painter, not necessarily on price, but on how they will add to your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Give Good Face came about after years of working as a makeup artist. Fun, excitement and colour at events has always been the best part of my job. In simple terms - face painting simply delights me.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have only been on Add to Event for a few months but I have had some really excellent jobs. I was at a community fair in Edinburgh recently. It was such a lovely and fun event and I wouldn't have had the opportunity to be a part of it. It was lovely to get some excellent feedback from the organiser too.
